Dear Mr. Weinstock:

We would like to thank you, your company and subs for a job well done and document our experience with Home Installation and Service Professionals (HISP). We contracted with HISP in February 2005 to complete and extensive basement remodel of over 1600 sq/feet, with a sauna, full bath and kitchen.

At first our apprehension about the process was put at ease through Brian’s knowledge about the process and his experience as a home inspector. Our initial expectations were also met as the price quote, which was the second lowest of the four quotes we had, was acceptable. We accepted HISP’s quote because we felt they had a better understanding of our requirements and that the quality of the work would be at a higher level than the others, not to mention the fair price (which even included the sauna).

Meeting our expectations continued as we had several changes throughout the process as we could better see our visions come to life. As with any contract, one needs to make sure you have the details of your expectations in the contract, including the types of materials, cabinet lengths, number of lighting openings, etc. There is no expectation that wasn’t met.

HISP have now (May 2005) completed our large job and are awaiting the last of several inspections from the Village of Vernon Hills (which could well be one of the toughest municipalities in the area, in terms of detailed inspections and expectations-all about safety). HISPs payment cycle is fair, and we look forward to receipt of our lien wavers when we make our final payment.

HISP’s trades are top-notch, especially the carpenters/handymen who we dealt with on nearly a daily basis (Bob & Art). These professionals are courteous, skilled and take pride in their work. At the end of each day, they left the job site clean (really clean) and safe (we have four kids, four frogs and a dog). They even kept our frogs alive while we were away on vacation and continued the building process in our absence. I also think Bob has our dog trained better then when we started the building process. As a tribute to their skills, two things stand out. One is the tile and mill work and the other is the over 1600 square foot drop ceiling that is perfectly aligned and even (no easy task). All of our concerns, though few and usually a result of us jumping ahead of the process, were immediately addressed.

As a result of our experience with HISP we contracted with them to do a patio roof and large rear and front yard paver patio and retaining walls (again HISP was the best option of several quotes). This work was progressed with a high degree of satisfaction, exactly as we envisioned it.

We are pleased with the experience and recommend HISP to those who intent to improve their living space and experience a truly professional home installation.
